In the 1980s there were roughly 200 lesbian bars in the U.S., today that number is fewer than 25. As the bars continue to disappear at a staggering rate, Co-Directors and co-creators Elina Street and Erica Rose established The Lesbian Bar Project, a promotional campaign dedicated to celebrating, supporting and preserving the remaining lesbian bars that exist in the United States.

This 20 mins documentary transports us through the forgotten history of the lesbian bars, and sheds a light on community activists, patrons and bar owners from New York, Mobile, AL and D.C. The Lesbian Bar Project, has garnered over 90 articles this year alone with over 1 billion impressions.
