Elina Street (she/her) is an Emmy Award-winning French-American director and photographer based in New York City. She began her career in the U.K., earning a BA with Honors in Filmmaking from Kingston University. Her first narrative short film, Alice and Lewis, starred Lollie McKenzie from the West End’s Matilda the Musical. Elina later completed an MA in Cinema Studies at NYU Tisch School of the Arts and has worked as a Director and AD on TV shows, feature films, and commercials. Her TV credits include The Sinner (Showtime) and Gotham (HBO), and her commercial clients include Chanel, Vogue, Meta, Shiseido, Audible, Estée Lauder, and Elizabeth Arden.
Elina co-created and co-directed the Emmy- and GLAAD Award-winning documentary campaign The Lesbian Bar Project, now a docu-series for The Roku Channel and RTL+, which has garnered 1.4 billion impressions and over 250 media placements. She also directed Celine Dion’s editorial comeback for Vogue’s "Life and Looks" series.
Her latest short film, My Best Friend, premiered at BFI Flare and Tribeca Film Festival, and screened at thirteen major festivals including Palm Springs ShortFest, Provincetown, Frameline, and Miami Film Festival.
